Instagram: Don't MIS It

I constantly take pictures in order not to MIS, or forget, things that surround me.  Instagram has allowed me to make sure that you don't MIS the adventures I have or things I create.  I've included a handful of my images in this post; a picture says a thousand words, so I'll let them do all the talking!

To stay in the loop with my current projects and findings, and for when I'm not blogging, check out Don't MIS It on Instagram here!

Be inspired by all that is around you,

DIY Thank You Cards

I am always on the lookout for great thank you notes, but lately have not been able to find any that suits me.  I used an image of my good friend Piper from a recent Holga shoot.  Follow the tutorial below to create your own set of stationary or thank you notes!

I always love getting a hand written note on a great card.  So make some one's day, why don't ya?!

Enjoy,
Margo Isadora

1. Choose your image!
(These were all from my first Holga Camera Shoot!)

Supplies: Photo, 8.5" x 11" White Card Stock,
Colored Paper, Scissors, & Scotch Tape (not pictured)

2. Cut out letters.

3. Lightly tape your letters onto your image with mini tape rolls. (as to preserve the photo)

4.  Adhere your image with tape rolls to the bottom of the white cardstock.

5. Visit your local print shop, or use your color printer at home, and copy as many images as you please!

6. Fold your cards down the top.
(I used a creaser, but it is not at all necessary.)

7. Cut your cards perfectly!

And there you have a personalized thank you, ready to go!

Can't wait to send them out :)

Inspiring Images!

I am often inspired by the work of my friends... be it an instrument they play, a show they preform in, or an image they create. Piper Martz, an award winning photographer, has a unique ability to capture a moment and captivate her audience. I was lucky enough to model for her with some friends on a recent photo shoot; the wild, windy, and wet day certainly did not stop us from having a great time and Piper taking some intriguing images. Check the victorian masked images out on her blog @ glassgarden.wordpress.com/2010/12/04/masquerade
To see more of her work check out her site @ pipermartz.com
Some of my favorites of Piper's photos are below!

Fashion and Food

Food and Fashion have always played an important role in my life. I am very passionate about Fashion and always marvel at the innovations of designers. My twin brother is an excellent chef and has always created the most delicious dishes for me, and others, to enjoy. I loved the collaboration of food and fashion in 'Hunger Pains' a series of images by Ted Sabarese. He photographed models in foods that they craved the most. 16 models and designers worked to create this incredible, edible fashion, with ingredients like waffles, pasta and meat. I was impressed with the outfits and enjoyed watching this behind the scenes video of their project. http://www.tedsabarese.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/01/hunger_pains.mov If I were to make an edible outfit I think that it would have to be made out of licorice! This is a fun one that you don't want to MIS!
